Re-Think Art encourages the public to think of art in new ways and to consider the environment and humanity in the process. From wood and mosaics to paper, porcelain and more, the creative options are as endless as the opportunities to lessen the landfills.

Abiiba Howell began to seriously create art in 2007, merging her passions for repurposing materials and honoring the earth, during breaks in her film and television production work.  The mobile studio Re-Think Art was born in 2014, providing an avenue to promote and sell her work.  Collectors of her unique art may be found throughout the United States. An interactive component allows market visitors to create works of art using elements provided by the studio. Materials come from rescued and donated sources, with an emphasis on reusing them to create art for enjoyment and function.  Using different substrates, the art of this mobile studio is sold at art markets and online.

In 2022, the concept for the Perpetual Art Kit was researched, then developed and test-launched during 2023 to define the wide range of user types (families, educators, students, therapists, ADHD, dementia patients and others…). Initial studies have proven eye-opening in the potential to actually improve quality of life, bringing families and people together, to provide a “brain break” for students and more. The uses and users of this kit are endless. What’s more, the kit is designed to use and reuse forever.

Tapping into sustainability and a keen interest in helping to find solutions for the homeless and unhoused, for every kit purchase, Re-Think Art has committed to donating a Perpetual Art Kit to a nonprofit that supports this needy population. One purchase equals one donated kit.
