In 2007, film and television professional, Abiiba Howell, first began creating environmentally conscious art, using reclaimed materials. Narrowing the focus over the years, in 2014 she launched Re-Think Art in the East End arts district of Houston, later making it a mobile studio.
The Perpetual Art Kit was initially conceived in January 2023 and developed during the year, launching at the end of 2023.
